Data downloads
Every table on this site is downloadable as a CSV and every figure as an
SVG — free, CORS-enabled, CC BY 4.0.
Reuse them anywhere, including commercially; the only condition is a link
back to the page you took them from. All files are regenerated from the
13,258-assignment corpus on every build, so a file
you fetch is never staler than the page.
Datasets (CSV)
- assigned-books.csv The full assignment join — one row per (book × state × grade) with its assignment count. See the page →
- most-assigned-books.csv Top 100 books ranked by assignment count, with year, pages, share, states and typical grade band. See the page →
- assigned-books-statistics.csv Corpus-level tables: top books, top authors, band split, era split, per-state counts, categories. See the page →
- school-reading-list-statistics.csv State coverage and list sizes, grade-band split, assignment categories and provenance counts. See the page →
- book-length-statistics.csv Median assigned-book page count per grade and per band, plus the longest and shortest common assignments. See the page →
- assigned-book-age-statistics.csv Publication-year distribution: era shares, full decade histogram, per-band medians. See the page →
Figures (SVG)
- most-assigned-books.svg The 15 most-assigned books, as a bar chart.
- book-length-by-grade.svg Median assigned-book length for every grade — the 3rd-grade cliff.
- assigned-book-decades.svg Assignments by publication decade.
Each figure carries its own attribution line inside the SVG, so a reused chart stays credited even when it travels without context.
